A warm welcome to Siana and Shana

We are very excited to welcome two new APE Group MSc students this year. In January, we were joined by Siana Senn and in September by Shana Koller. Both MSc students are associated with ‘The Creative Ape Project’ which investigates the evolutionary origins of creativity in wild chimpanzees. Siana’s thesis focusses on individual differences in chimpanzee tree buttress drumming, and Shana’s thesis examines creativity in chimpanzee crab-fishing. Both Siana and Shana do fieldwork in the Nimba Mountains of Guinea.
